Into The West Wounded Knee

I must say that the final chapter in Into The West program was the most difficult of all of the 6 that were produced.

I am at a loss of words on how to express my feelings. But the first feeling is one of sicking, sorrow and anger.

The program took me their and brought out such raw feelings that I dont think any other Book or story could have done.

I am happy that this series was produced. I am sorry that some have decided not to watch this. While items may have been incorrect, TBS and the crew told history in a way that the history books in my daughters school will never do. And I thank them for that and having the guts for doing so.

While my nations for fathers & mothers were not hunted down like those of the west, I do feel for anyone on this Board who knows of one of their family members who suffered such.

In closing I would only hope this program has made the native people Stronger. May you Dance for those who have paid such a price. A price for what we may never know.

Outstanding post! I can't even imagine the pain this entire series has renewed for the Native Americans and I'm not going to even pretend to. And, I cannot even begin to apologize for the white people, we aren't all bad and I hope that you do not hate me for being white after reliving this horrible pain.

The t-shirt says it all "We've been fighting terrorism since 1492"!
