Hello Everyone,

My name is Marie and I look forward to meeting you and learning from you.

I am interested in discovering what plants are important to the native culture. I have a dear friend who passed and would very much like to plant a garden in his honour. If anyone would like to advise me I would be so grateful for your input. I do know a bit regarding,"The Three Sisters" (corn, beans & squash).

Most Gratefully
Marie

Welcome to Powwows.com.

You can always get flowers or plant from the flower shop. That is what we do but if someone knows how to germinate the plant for your deceased friend and let it grow for him. That would be a good memorial respect for him.

My husband just passed away earlier this month. We just put artificial flowers and plants on his grave. Some people including me put real flowers on it. Another person put a real little tree (not know what kind). I was in grief and not pay much attention to it. So find out what he like if you get to know him before he passed. May he find the journey going home to his Creator. May he rest in peace.
