New to the site

Hi, I just joined the site. I found it while looking for help to make my granddaughters 8th grade graduation dress. She is Standing Rock Sioux and Yacqui. She would like to wear traditional dress for this event. I am still looking for help so if anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks.

New to Site

I am new to this site , but so far I have found it more broad based than any other site I have seen. This site goes into native culture , beliefs , thoughts , and crafts . What more can you ask for if you truly want to learn ? I origanaly only was hunting Pow Wows in my area , but have found some of all the above. I love Pow Wows for they give me a chance to learn more about my heratage , as my mother denied any native blood even though her dad was from a rez in Oaklahoma . My dad would only say that we had Apache . My sons have been tracking and have found that our last name comes from Scotish mersanary clan , talk about being mixed up! There is also a German mersanary group in the mix that we are trying to sort out. The more I learn about my ancesters the more I want to know. Ihave had to fight my family to learn what many of you have at least had your family suport and teach you about your ancestary. No I did not say that you had it good only you at least had your family to back and love you.
