site problems??

Hi there,

I am not really new to this site but have had problems with it this week. I had an account for several years using the name caymiss and I posted powwows for two organizations I work with and it was fine right up to November 2012.

I visited the site over last few weeks but did not need to log in until this week and now powwows.com does not know caymiss. I sent an email for assistance and never got an answer.

Last night I finally decided to create a new account and it was activated via an email link. Now it appears that I am logged in and able to post in this forum, but I still cannot list a powwow on the calendar.

I also called to contact phone number, but had to leave a message.

Can I get some help here??

Thank you

As for the Calendar. We apologize for the inconvenience. We recently changed the software that runs the calendar and with that we are still working on rolling out the changes so the functionality of adding and editing powwows to it will be added soon. We don't have an exact date just yet when that will be.

Awesome - Thank you

Thanks so much for the help and information about site updates. Now I can manage my situation (I was beginning to feel really helpless) and look forward to getting a powwow listed in the Calendar.

Is there any other forum here that would be appropriate to list the information on an upcoming Powwow?

I will visit NativeGatherings next.

I sent you a couple emails regarding this.

Please register at calendar.powwows.com with a new account, or use facebook, google, or a yahoo.com account to log on.

And you wanted to login to an account with only 8 posts? Why not just use the new one you just made? Lol

This functionality is working now.

We found that most people adding things to our calendar were not people that post on our forums. So in the new calendar we separated those user accounts.

You have to register a different account on the calendar to add/edit events. But you can view and use the calendar without registering.
