Kelli and I arrived yesterday.

We went to the Miss Indian World Talent Presentation last night. We were too tired to stay for the whole thing. Looks like a large number of entries this year--over 20. The presentations were impressive and it should be a tight competition. The Kiva was a sellout.

Looking forward to today. I'll try to post some updates and photos laster today/tonight depending on when we come back to the room.

We're taking a break from the afternoon session to relax and post some pictures. Take a look in the galleries. I've just uploaded 7 photos from today.

I'll try to upload more later.

There are a total of 46 drums registered. This afternoon Southern Boys sounded great as did Buffulo Horse.

And Miss Indian World has 29 contestants this year.

There was a Fancy Feather Special first thing today. After about 6 or 7 songs they narrowed it down to one person. Sorry didn't get the name!

I'll try to post more later tonight, if I'm still awake. If not first thing tommorrow morning before we head over.

I was just watching the webcam, but no sound? Don't know if it's our computer or if there really isn't sound with the webcam. We couldn't go either, because of school. Graduation is only a month away so thought we better stay home. Thanks for the updates and pictures!

Paul G 04-30-2005 01:25 PM

We're taking most of the afternoon session off so we can stay up late tonight. I'm trying to post some new photos.

Lewis Cozad won the Jammin' Gents special last night.

I was just coming online to post about MIW. Congrats to Cassie.

We tried, but didn't make it to the announcement of winners.

I'll try to post more photos as soon as I get home. We're in the ABQ airport right now.

Had a great time, thanks to the GON Committee for thier hospitality!
