65th Annual Chickahominy Pow Wow
Good turnout for this long established pow wow this year, Host Drum Stoney Creek and several guest drums including Red Blanket of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape and the Chickahominy drum Turtle Clan sang for a large group of dancers. Good weather for the event this year.
The Chickahominy are truly gracious hosts and the event is very well organized and particular care is provided for attending Elders. If you have never attended this event, it's one that should be added to your yearly itinerary. |

Yeah, venting has to wait till Monday morning. No venting at pow wows. This is the oldest pow wow in Virginia, 65th annual this year. Be sure to get there next year if you come to the east.
