In loving memory for all of those who have passed in Newtown Connecticut.

This has been a sad few days for us in the east and I am imagining all of us through the country. All of those babies and teachers who died unexpectedly and tragically deserve prays not only them but their families.

All I could think of was "What if that was my child?" It is a thought I do not like to bear, but for so many families that has became not a thought but a reality. I don't know about you guys but on friday I counted the seconds till my nephew got off the bus and when he came into the house I held him almost as if afraid to let go.
What did you guys do when you heard this news?

A note to add to this is that this Friday my cousin Joshua Moore (who from my mothers side of the family is part Cherokee and Blackfoot) is leading a caravan from Ohio to Connecticut. In the past week he has done a toy drive and they are taking it all to the children. I am proud of him and the local schools are sending letters from our children to the children of Newtown. I know that my family will be sending our prayers and love.

This is horrendous. I work at a school and cannot believe we are leaving out most precious resource with very little security.

I hope more will be done to protect our children, whose parents send them off daily with the presumption that everything will be done to educate them in a safe place.

Many prayers offered to all the grieving families.

I cried and for all of the families and When my nephew got home I held him like he was the last thing on earth. When I saw the pictures of the children all I could think was that boy could be my nephew and that girl could be my niece.

Truman may not be my son but I have raised him since he was 3 and he is in my heart my child. I am sending out many prayers for these families.

A friend of mine was murdered in the 1984 McDonald's Massacre in San Ysidro, California . 20 other innocent people were also killed that day by a deranged gunman.

We were sitting and watching Frosty the Snowman Friday night and I would look at my grandson, and the Christmas tree, and all I could wonder was how many of those families had plans like that on that night? Just kicking back watching Christmas stuff on TV and living life. It breaks my heart to think of what they are going through.
