Pre-game parties, tailgating, or home enjoying some grub

:pepsi000: So what's your favorite grub while watching sports? Pizza is popular, but I'm sure there's more out there than pizza and beer.:lurk:

Well, considering I watched U of Mich lose TWICE (Notre Dame UGHHH! and Wisconsin...OMG!) and the professional football team here is the Detroit Lions....who have turned losing in to a new creative art form....I haven't been all that hungry!
well maybe Humble Pie!
I actually WOULD have preferred fried chicken w/ potatoes tho...

nativechiqui 09-30-2005 11:31 PM

KFC anyone?

Joe G 09-30-2005 11:42 PM

Yuck!!!!!! rodent fricassie!

*Mystic* 09-30-2005 11:46 PM

Chicken, Chicken, Chicken!! That's what I gotta have especially when I'm watching Basketball! It doesn't make a difference if its Fried, BBQ, Spicey...WHATEVER! I gotta have chicken! Then I'm gonna need a big bottle of Pepsi afterwards.....

Joe G 09-30-2005 11:53 PM

Hmmm a '76'ers fan???

*Mystic* 09-30-2005 11:55 PM

Oh Yes!! 76ers all the way!! Allen Iverson's #1 Fan!

Joe G 10-01-2005 12:00 AM

Yeah he's truly a hall of fame great ....first step? Lord.....but Detroit always beats them....w/ teamwork...If WE had him...we'd NEVER lose!!!!

*Mystic* 10-01-2005 12:03 AM

True...the Pistons always beat us. But maybe this year, the Sixers are gonna have the 1 chance to beat Detroit. Wait & see...lol!

I thought this thread was about food and football. Good food is homemade chili with fried bread. Don't get to watch football games much right now. My son is playing field lacrosse. He is hoping to make it on Team BC for the North American Indigenous Games in Denver next July.

I'm waiting for the San Diego Chargers game next week on Monday night! For sure, it might be pizza night. buffalo wings and Pepsi. I'm still mad at Junior Seau for leaving this team, after I got an autographed picture of him.

**jdazmum** 10-04-2005 08:01 PM

I might just sell it on Ebay, yeah right?
Anyone seen that commercial about them tailgaters who blew up their truck? That is funny as hell watching it.

Might get a dollar for Jr's picture. Too bad it wasn't of him in a Raiders uniform. I would definitely be worth more.

@ the ole watering hole in NY, where I used to go, the bar has every game on so it was fun to go there and watch the games...if you bought a membership for $20 for the entire season you got to eat for free, and get beer 50 cents off the regular price.
Not too bad a deal...of course if you didn't get the memebership, you were ridiculed and chastised for all eternity cause you didn't support your team or the season...haha...j/k.

GO RAIDERS!!! 1-3... haha...only for awhile though...gets better with the season still young.

Well this weekend we grilled spareribs and had burgers and spinach dip with tortilla chips and I made some baked beans. other times I will make hot wings and celery and carrot sticks with ranch dip and lil smokies with bbq sauce. sometimes we'll do taquitos and chili con queso dip with chips. It just depends on my mood. but my man loves football season b/c I get him filled up while we watch the games.

**jdazmum** 10-11-2005 03:08 AM

I watched Monday night football tonite, my team lost by 3 points, but it was an awesome game. I was so tired from the weekend powwow, that I went to sleep right after class and didn't wake up until after the 1st quarter. I didn't have any grub since everyone was asleep, so tonite it was green chili burritos and rasberry drink. Next Monday the Colts play the Rams, so it's definitely a game to watch.

**jdazmum** 10-17-2005 01:17 AM

Steaks, burgers, hotdogs, lasagna, Coronas, chips and dip!

Watched the first portion of the Dallas and Giants game, but found out the Cowboys won, bummer!

But I'm ecstatic because the San Diego Chargers kicked the Raiders butt out of the LA sky!!!!!!!! To make matters worse, it was in Oakland! Sorry Raiders fan, but try again next year.

Tomlinson threw his second touchdown pass of the season and added scores running and catching the ball in a performance for the record books, leading the San Diego Chargers to a 27-14 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

"In the celebration in the end zone I said, 'Superman, you can do it all,"' Brees said. "He can do a lot of things. Obviously, he had a big game today."

Tomlinson delivered another big performance against the Raiders (1-4) - he has 620 yards rushing in the last four meetings - to help San Diego (3-3) dominate this rivalry in a way they haven't since Al Davis was on the Chargers' side. They have won four straight over the Raiders for the first time since taking the first six meetings from 1960-62, when Davis was their defensive ends coach. Chargers coach Marty Schottenheimer improved to 24-7 in his career against the Raiders.

Missed Monday night football, but I couldn't stay away and listened to a game on the AM channel. LOL! Colts still remain #1.
