Iroquois lacrosse team ends bid to go to England

By David B. Caruso
New York, New York (AP)

Iroquois lacrosse players who refused to travel on passports issued by the U.S. and Canada because they do not consider themselves citizens of those countries exhausted their last options on July 17 for going to the sport's world championship in England.

Leaders of the Iroquois Nationals squad announced that the last ditch attempt to persuade British officials to recognize their Haudenosaunee passports had failed.

I always was a big fan of native american/ six nations lacrosse and the fact that they play the game given to them by the creator. They have a ton of talent and I hope to see them make it over to England. I'd say the US throughout history has hasseled them enough, plus they should just guarantee they'll be let back in after all they were here first and we all know the US doesnt need any more international incidents.
