Exclamation Kansas City Chiefs suck up to Natives...

KC Chiefs suck up to Natives...

Below is one of my responses which seems to have disappeared? Anywho, I thought someone might be interested...

Oh, Jesus Christ. Get a grip. As Indian people, we shouldn't care about this, at least not as a priority. Why? We should be smarter.

This article came out in the KC Star, right? I am fine with that and have nothing against the Star. But if they are our discussion point, let's take a good look. Let's actually think instead of going short-sighted radicalism espoused by those with something to gain by enflaming the Native (often with ZERO Federal recognition as such) rabble. The American Indian Movement did that forty years ago and they didn't help a damned thing...

Where am I going? Read on…

Approximately 3-4 months ago, the Star had a blurb reporting how a group of Natives in the Southwest had just achieved a significant goal in terms of standard of living: they now had electricity. Seriously. This happened in the United States of America.

THINK ABOUT THAT.

That's a Third World problem. Being upset about what someone else wears or may call you? In a relatively free society? That's a First World problem. Plus, at face value, it's exceedingly lame to "poor me" wail about ANY First World issue when Third World ones still exist, especially if ANY of the pseudo sub-continent concerns are caused or enhanced by your own behavior. (And they are.) Sum? This is just unintelligent focus from Native people.

Second, if what certain thin-skinned (and typically not bearing much bloodline) Natives are seeking is acknowledgement that many things are offensive? That's already won. Seriously. We all know this because folks don't walk into their job at Hallmark, Cerner or Sprint in a headdress. This only occurs in a place where fanaticism (being a fan) is the mantra.

Bottom line? The Political Correctness fight has already been won and going too far with Native garb in general society is already shunned. Now, you radical and fearful troglodytes just want complete acquiescence as if a Chinese produced Dream Catcher hanging from the rearview mirror of a car where the DRIVER SHOULD NEVER BE SLEEPING TO HAVE THEIR DREAMS CAUGHT is worthy of reverence or concern.

It's not. We have actual problems, I don't waste time on the made up ones. If you are secure in who you are, there's nothing a drunk guy in a plastic headdress can do to you.

1. Get a life.
2. Feel free to quote me.

Your thoughts on this mirror my own , but realize that most of the ones who perpetrate these actions cannot exist without drama ! The more drama the better , for without it they have no cause !

They say blood is thicker than water ! Now maple syrup is thicker than blood , so are pancakes more important than family ?

There are "Elders" and there are "Olders". Being the second one doesn't make the first one true !

Somebody is out there somewhere, thinking of you and the impact you made in their life.
It's not me....I think you're an idiot !

There's a chance you might not like me ,

but there's a bigger

chance I won't care
