Navajo Nation preparing for emergencies & bioterrorism

By Patty Talahongva
Fountain Hills, Arizona (NFIC)

More than 300 employees of the Navajo Nation came together recently for the 3rd Annual Division of Public Safety Conference held at the Fort McDowell Yavapai’s Resort and Casino in Fountain Hills, Arizona.

“The intent was to share information with those participants in the hopes they can take what they learned back to their communities to enhance their emergency response systems,” said Derrick Yazzie, Police Electronic Information Technician for the Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety.
