Salt River Pima-Maricopa member sentenced in child abuse case

Phoenix, Arizona (AP)

A Mesa woman who’s a member of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community has been sentenced to nearly four years in federal prison in a child abuse case.

Prosecutors say 43-year-old Tamara Kay Vest was given a 45-month prison term last week by a federal judge in Phoenix.
