South Dakota bill to aid veterans at tribal colleges delayed
Pierre, South Dakota (AP)
A group of South Dakota senators has introduced a bill that would let American Indian veterans of the National Guard attend tribal colleges with state aid. The bill would require the state to pay half the tuition for veterans attending a tribal college. Now, veterans get half-tuition at state public universities. |
