The Unicorn in Native American Cultures and Spirituality

Greetings. My name is Vakasha Brenman; I am currently working on a book entitled The Magical Mythical Unicorn, which elaborates on historic, mythic, and esoteric information regarding the unicorn's presence across the globe since time immemorial.

My question for the forum is are there any specific traditions or beliefs within any Native American cultures in regards to the unicorn? It is my intention to make this book as inclusive as possible, and therefore am grateful for all information provided. Thank you!

wow.....funny you should ask....the unicorn is my spirit animal....very sacred amongst my people

the slapaho always used unicorn tailhair on their bustles and the horn which is rare for ceremony...

legend has it that a great unicorn appeared at winkte hill to speak with the ancestors.... a group of young beaver hunters

they all started to disrobe and flagellate themselves in front this being

the unicorn spoke to them, and they no longer hunted beaver except for procreation season.....instead they were instructed to embrace each other and the unicorn told them that it would return as according to other local tribe's prophecies and and the unicorn was to bring reach out to people across the big water and bring peace but only if they are willing to walk down the path with the Spirit of Two

if you need to know more you must ask yourself if you are willing to embrace the young warriors here in brotherhood and walk the path with the spirit of duality?
