Pants or Leggings
So do Smoke dancer wear pants or leggings? It looks like (in alot of pics) that they are wearing pants.

Most I have seen wear pants. The pants are either center seam, or regular pants cut and trimmed to have the center-seam opening fall over the foot, and the appropriate ribbonwork. You will see some of the more traditional guys wear leggings though. Wool are normally center-seam, and the buckskin ones I have seen are usually done with side seams.

I wear sideseam buckskin leggings usually, but you can also wear pants with the cener seam cut into them. Leggings are pretty easy to make, most smoke dancers wear cloth ones made of wool or sometimes that cheap felt stuff (looks kinda dumb)
