Take your shots!

I don't know if it's tribally specific, being from Oklahoma, not having grown up on a reservation, not being from Canada, earning a BA from a state school, earning an MPA from a private school, studying language abroad, not yet being forty, believing you don't need peyote if God decides to talk to you, being an ENTP, etc...

But, it appears I just don't think like some, here, appear to.

What's going on, yo?

I guess this could be characterized as a vanity thread, so I'll admit such possibility "up front," but I am curious...

Grits & Beans 02-18-2010 04:33 PM

The fact that you do think is a merit in itself. I bet you can kick *** with a chess board.

i think well of you, i don't understand all of your question like whats ENTP ,and im not any of the above but as far as the cleansing prosses to hear from God.. I think its a attitude and being open to hear like tuned in and if peyote
cleanse and open ones self to see with God ...it my experience the closer i get the more i see wrong with my self

ENTP

ENTP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ENTP (Extraversion, iNtuition, Thinking, Perception) is an abbreviation used in the publications of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to refer to one of sixteen personality types.[1] The MBTI assessment was developed from the work of prominent psychiatrist Carl G. Jung in his book Psychological Types. Jung proposed a psychological typology based on the theories of cognitive functions that he developed through his clinical observations.

ENTP characteristics

Some practitioners have speculated that Thomas Edison was an ENTP.[10] However, according to the guidelines for the ethical use of the MBTI, only those taking the assessment can identify their own best fit.[11][edit] Myers-Briggs description
The ENTP has been described variously as the innovator,[12] the originator,[13] the lawyer,[14] the inventor,[2] the explorer,[15] and the visionary.[14] ENTPs also fall into the general categories of thinkers, rationals, and engineers.[16] Using their primary function-attitude of extraverted intuition (Ne), ENTPs are quick to see complex interrelationships between people, things, and ideas. These interrelationships are analyzed in profound detail through the ENTPs auxiliary function, introverted thinking (Ti). The result is an in-depth understanding of the way things and relationships work, and how they can be improved. To the ENTP, competence and intelligence are particularly prized, both in themselves and in other people.

ENTPs are frequently described as clever, cerebrally and verbally quick, enthusiastic, outgoing, innovative, flexible, loyal and resourceful. ENTPs are motivated by a desire to understand and improve the world they live in. They are usually accurate in sizing up a situation. They may have a perverse sense of humor and sometimes play devil's advocate, which can create misunderstandings with friends, coworkers, and family. ENTPs are ingenious and adept at directing relationships between means and ends. ENTPs "think outside the box," devising fresh, unexpected solutions to difficult problems. However, they are less interested in generating and following through with detailed plans than in generating ideas and possibilities. When ENTPs are used correctly on a team, they offer deep understanding and a high degree of flexibility and problem solving ability. The ENTP regards a comment like "it can't be done" as a personal challenge, and, if properly motivated, will spare no expense to discover a solution.

Every time I take the Myers-Briggs, I get, "ENTP."

In addition, beyond recognizing process, the test analyzes to what degree your traits swing that way.

It appears I am hugely extroverted and incredibly "rational," not the least bit emotional -- in terms of decision making -- and about 50/50 on the Sensing (i.e., cares about the feelings of others) bit.

I can't say the test has missed the mark...

5'10", and about 2,000 women behind him. :hypocrite

NorthofAda 02-19-2010 05:27 PM

Not only do you not seem to think like a lot of folks here - you do a good job provoking thoughtful responses from others (well, not all others of course, but quite a few).

It's refreshing to see someone post a viewpoint that may not be popular, but which has merit and is communicated coherently and argued logically.

This is in contrast to those who use the..."I don't agree with you so therefore you're ___________________________" argument.
(stupid, dumb, ugly, fill in blanks)
