Sausage And Lentil Soup

Check this out, I made it last week and it turned out great. Found the details for it while I was in the Dr Office waiting for my apt.

1 Onion Cubed Into Small Chunks
1 Package of hot Italian sausages cut into chunks
3 celery stalks cut up
1 carrot cut up
1 19 oz can of lentils
1 can of tomatoes (can use vetable/chicken stock to replace)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Few grinds of pepper
Handful of fresh spinach torn up (optional)

Brown sausages then add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for about 30 minutes and its ready.

That sounds good. I like lentils, but I don't think I've ever seen them in a can.

They don't seem to take long to cook anyway. And I just bought some Hot sausages on sale.

Those buggers(sausages) that I got, where REALLY hot. *whewf* wipes forehead. Yes cooked lentils from a can are so much easier to use. If you cook them from scratch they get all mushy.

Hmmm. Lentils with Chorizo would be delicious.

I'll try this without the HOT sausage and the spinach torn added to it.
