To Mr. Joe,

First this is an original story of my vision. In addition, you should be more careful of your assumptions. I had this vision come to me in the early morning hours of the day I posted this story. Also, I am the grandson of “Kid Quirino” he was a practicing shaman for the Absentee Shawnee of Oklahoma and passed down to me the teachings of the humans. I have many visions and have walked in the spirit world with the elders who have gone before me. If this story has been written or is in existence I challenge you to prove it. It amazes me that all the Waapa Hileni (white man) are always Cherokee. I will go on the assumption that I have encountered the Fox once again.

Thank you, for your words. I am happy you liked the writing. I had the vision after an experience the day before and my spirit was not settled. It was around 3:00 am and it was an accident I came across this site. I was listening to the drums during a gathering of nations someone posted the video. It was then I saw the creative writing link and decided to post my vision. I will write again soon.

I do not know this Chief. No disrespect intended. I do not know a great deal about the other nations. However, my close friends that I grew up with were Seneca, Iroquois and one who claimed to be Crow and part of the First Nation of Canada Alberta area.

I am a descendent, only half from my mother side, from the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma. My grandfather, who I miss very much, was born on the res back in 1910. Before he moved on, he had told me that I was a descendant of Kispoko or (Dancing Tail) clan. I do not know too much more, except he and his brothers were very large, standing 6 foot 8 inches tall and they were very strong. His bothers wore their hair long as traditional my grandfather wore his short much like a Marine. He left the res to box and spent some time living in Hugo Oklahoma. One of my blood brothers, as to say born of the same mother and father, had his DNA checked to confirm our heritage and traced our lineage back to the res. I think he did it to get money from the government, which he does. My other brothers and I refused to register for the government hand out.

My grandfather and some elders gave me my name of Wondering Wolf. It was because I raised a wolf cub and would wonder around the woods with her. It may have been because I always had many questions. Anyway the law came and took her from me, saying it was illegal to own a wolf. I laugh at that statement. No one owns a wolf, she was nearly 200 lbs.’ and you might coexist with one but you can never own a wolf. I miss her as well.

As I am getting old now, as my son likes to remind me, and miss many of the ones I once held dear they have moved on to the invisible. I still have my wife and children and she can make frybread so I am doing alright!

Yes, I am the same WonderingWolf who shared my vision of the Fox and Wolf many years earlier. Unfortunately, my visions continued and provided insight on many events that came to pass some wonderful others not so good. However, I found that you cannot change what is destine to happen. I warned my best friend of the vision I had of him dying in a fire three days before it took place. He still died in the fire in Wheeling West Virginia.

I share my visions only with an elder and my wife now.

Is this chief you wrote about famous? Is the chief still with us and are you his relation?

1) when a wolf wonders around a forest what does it wonder about? global things, its evening meal or just the price of tea in china?

2) as you said you cannot change destiny....so why did you warn your friend he was gonna die in 3 days in a horrible fire? i would have been happier not knowing......not like he could have stopped it anyhow....it was destiny

3) how do you track your lineage back to a rez thru DNA and then get paid for it? i am interested because i wish to track my DNA back to my people, the cherokee tribe of tennesee and the yamassee!! a brutha gotz to get paid.....feel me? maybe i can join your friend's tribe?

4) can you teach me to walk in people's dreams? i very much would like to walk in some of these ladies dreams that post here....i wanna be like "whatz uuup baby" and flex my pecs. if you know what i mean ;)

I have no dog in this hunt but I'm gonna weigh in anyway ! I know quite a few Shawnee people. Some would even be considered "holy people" or "medicine people". They would never refer to themselves as sharmins ! And I have to believe my relatives that married into some of the southwest tribes....they actually have "skin walkers" I think you have your tribes mixed up ! I could believe you.......(cue commercial about the 12 second mark !)but....
