Sorry the event was light. I know the snow wasn't that much for the area, but it was sort of a shock since there hasn't been that much snow lately. I'd be happy to yack with you via email. I will email you later tonight. I want to dig through my stuff and get you a really good plotting graph. We had a lot happen today. It's been a zoo. So until later tonight. TTYL. :)

    Part 2 of last message...
It looks like the ratio of height to length is approx. 1 High to 2.25 long +/-. I stacked the beads side by side on my needle and found that there are 19 beads per inch for 11/0 beads which I believe only 18 will be needed per inch once the main threads are strung on the loom if I am correct ? ( what are the main threads called that are strung from end to end on the loom ?) I am also using a no strech nylon thread, thats some real tuff stuff and can't decide either to use white or black thread, what do you think?. let me know your thought's on this. If you want, it's OK with me if you would like to contact me via my email instead of this message board at [email protected] as we can converse indepth on this project and I could send you pics as the project progress's etc. ? it's up to you. Thank you for your time and help!

    HiYa Docat,
The Idle No More event opening turn out was OK although we were expecting alot more than what showed up, we thought it may have been because of the snow we received overnight but it was only approx. 4" no big deal but who knows why?. I met alot of people and the food was good, But No Frybread, damn it! LOL. Anyways, this beading project is based on the Shawnee Tribe Flag as seen on my Avatar/ Icon. I've been looking all over for the right colors but could only find them in 11/0 Czech seed beads, I would have used 10/0 or 5/0 but because of intricacy of the pattern I believe the 11/0 beads would look better. One problem I have is that I don't know how to layout or make the pattern to follow when stringing. and what actually be the correct thread to use. When done I will be lazy sticthing it to dear skin leather strapping with belt loop on one end and fringe on the other end with 5MM or 10MM beadsand hair pipes or stiched onto my leather fanny pack?

How did the set up and the event at the gallery go? Hey, I'm happy to help in any way I can with your beading. What sort of beading are you getting ready to do?

I meant to mention and forgot, that I didn't know the bakery in Sycamore, but I did buy a lot of stuff from Blaine's Farm and Fleet. Also, not far from that on the same side of the road is a Salvation Army in which my girls and I did a lot of shopping for materials for jewelry. We'd buy old baubles and such and restring them into their own creations. It was fun. For some reason this particular location ended up with a lot of jewelry.

Ended up getting the aunts back in one piece yesterday. They had a really good time and they were on their best behavior coming home. It was a good idea to drive to Clewiston the day before. It helped.

I can't wait to find out your upcoming beading project.

Let me know what you are working on beadwise.

    Hi Ya Docat,
Sometime I would like to talk to you about beading as I have a couple of projects that I would like to make and I really need someone with your experiance to direct and point me in the right direction. I have alot of experiance with the larger beads, thonging, lacing and fancy fine leather lace and stitch work but not the seed beads with a loom. Thanks kindly.....TTYL

Hi!!! Oh yes, the reoccuring dreamer. LOL I had WAY too much fun with that. I really did hold back and just let him hang himself. He came into the beading section where I usually hang out, and he set himself up as a fashion designer, I think he thought we would be impressed by that but we're not into fashion. Well then he shows up with this thread and calls himself an Asian physician, and I'm like, this guy hasn't done his troll research well because he had already set himself up as a fashion designer. And the men yesterday or the day before were really jazzing him about Dr. Oz.

Have fun tomorrow at the set up! I want to see that gallery some time. My daughters have been there.

Traveling to the Seminole Rez tomorrow night to spend the night there before picking up my aunts from their cruise. They get in at 7am Sat. and there is no way I can drive through everglade fog 4 hours to get there. It will work out better to spend the night.

    Hi Ya Docat,
I wanted to say that I really liked your responses back at and to Mr. reocurringdream / Asian doctor? on the topic of the green coffee tea herbal extract yadda yadda what ever it is miracle crap You nailed him good & exposed him for the fraud that he is Thank You! he was trying so hard to wiggle out of it I found it to be very entertaining.I will be volunteering tomorrow to help setup for the "Idle No More" event this Saturday at the Trickster Gallery inwhich I am looking forward too. You mentioned Sycamore I know that town and one of my favorite places there is the Bakery on the south side of the street, they have the greatest cinnimon roll bread anywhere. I usually buy 2 at a time. Once or twice a year I ride the Great Western Bike path from my house to Sycamore then take the streets out to Glidden Rd.for a break and something to eat before returning back home.Round trip is approx 70 miles & usually in autumn I visit Blaine's farm and fleet for winter outerwear. TTYL

I have heard of this place from my older daughter. I think both girls have been there or done something there. I will pass this along to them. Thanks! Well, I have to get off this thing. I promised my teenager that I would look over her homework. Talk to you later!!

He is a super dog. Hopefully you will get to see him when we come north. We take him everywhere with us. He has separation issues. My youngest and I flew to S. Dakota for a funeral and we left the dog with one of my aunts. She called and said come home, I think the dog is dead...but he's still warm. Well, he was playing possum and didn't eat or drink and wouldn't move. He was depressed. He was fine once we got home. So we know when we go somewhere, he's got to go with us. He's all right for us to go away for a few hours, but he is so old and it makes him so sad, I don't like to leave him too long.
