Yeah. I'm more of a contemporary beader except when it comes to making my regalia lol. But the concept should work, so long as you maintain the increase/decrease all the way through the design to scale.

Thanks, Fang. Your suggestion of adding beads on each side of the component in the design is what I was thinking too. I'm just laying it out (new work) so I'll give it a try on paper and see what gives. There's like 10 elements to the design so to keep it all in scale is gonna be interesting (or easier than I thought!)

Hmm, I'm not sure. I've personally never had to expand a design for my regalia before. I suppose that if you're redoing the entire work from scratch, you could do so by increasing the amount of beads on each side of the symbol so that it keeps its overall shape does not change. So that would But I'm not sure about how to do so to an already made piece without taking the whole thing apart.

Hey Fang, got a question for ya... I maike side tabs for my Northern Tradish regalia and I have a symbol I want to make larger than the original for my side tabs. Any tricks to doing that so I maintain the shape -- I think I got it, but I wanted to check with a fellow beader!
