Thank you for your post which brought me a little of comfort. As you said it, English is not my first language and I as I not native I don't know what is allowed or not. I did not want to be inquisitive or to spoil somebody culture. Tonight I think it is not my place to be here...

Hi ! I have looked at your link. Thank you! It is really interesting for me to know that there is not only a single road for the natives to keep their traditions alive.
In France , there are also Rendez-vous where Europeans interested in Native history are gathering. When I was younger I went to one or 2 (maybe 3), but I did not feel too much on my place because I had the impression to appropriate a culture wich was not mine.

Sure we are interested in the history. And I know LOTS of NDNs that do both sorts of events.....and many who just do powwows. Just depends on what your family likes! If your family is the sort that likes camping, Living History hcan be a fun way to get out and about. But powpows are fun, too.

I see you are native, so I suppose you are in interested in your ancesters life around the 1840?
I did not know that natives are interested in Living history. I thought they only go to pow wows. Are you numerous to do this ?

Living History is a kinda broad title, covering lots of eras; we will camp for a weekend or a week, portraying aone particular era. Reenactors, some folks call it; if you have an SCA group in your area, they are into Living history, only they portray a different era. We mostly do just pre 1840 Rendevous, now.

What are you mening with Living History ? What are you doing ?
