It was so exciting today ! It got to 34 degrees , first time above freezing in 14 days ! 51 degrees warmer than 2 days ago ! LOL

Didn't even feel it ! It was over in the middle part of the state , down on the Oklahoma border , Probably 250 miles.

I forgot to ask , How's Mom doing in all this ? Safe and warm I hope !

We're good ! We've not lost power at all and we have auxiliary heat sources and a gen if we need it. I worry about you guys that aren't equipped for these extremes.Stay safe , stay warm , stay healthy !

Got heat ? Just worrying a bit. Our kids in Houston are doing better. Haven't talked to my brother in Austin.

Good to hear !(other that the lack of fireman) LOL Cleanup is always the worse part ! Took the chainsaw out and cut up the big limbs and into pieces we could handle. Cleared some of our normal pathways and decided to leave the rest till it dries out some.Weather might cool off enough to hunt the first part of next week , well starting saturday..... maybe. I'd like to get 1 more fat doe in the freezer(or 2). we went from 50s to ice storm back to 50s and mud ! Crazy weather !

Bonnie was asking if I knew how you were doing , so I'm asking ! LOL How you doing ? Fire and smoke damage fixed ? No smoke inhalation ? No handsome fireman giving you mouth to mouth ? Oops tmi ! LOL

Things have improved a lot since last night. I've got most of the cleaning finished. The smell is dissipating. The microwave and electric kettle arrived today. The air filters will arrive after the holidays. I just need to do a lot of laundry.

Is there anything Bonnie or I can do to help ?
