Book Worms.......

SO, what are you reading???

Because I'm curious and I keep a stack of books to read all the time, I'll grab a new one before I finish the current one and add it to the book pile....and I'll just keep going until I finish them all...but the book pile keeps getting bigger so I dont' think I'll ever be done.....dang....

just finished :

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand

Currently Reading:

Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies by Blake Lively

and

World War Z by Max Brooks

So wrote The Help? Sounds interesting. Ive read so many books I cant keep count. Mary Monroe is one of my fav authors. Have you read God dont like ugly? one and two?

So are you saying your not a chic? or that you are a chic who doesnt like chic flicks??? lol

Okayy Kool I will see what The Help is all about. What is the central theme?

Well if you enjoy a read like little black girl lost then you would like most of mary monroes books.

Oh no your not a dork. You are just you! lol Nothing wrong with knowing what you like and who you are. hahahaha That is too funny!

I love chic flicks but I love reading all different kinds. just finished reading "My Life on the Pink Carpet" by Leslie Jordan

Good reads are any by Greg Iles...he's warped and disturbed but great story and writing and I love it.
John Grisham always tells a good story, I've read almost all of his except a couple. Sandra Brown if you are feeling trampy. *L* John Saul if you want something that tends to be kind of scary but more creepy. All the books by Chelsea Handler are AMAZING! *L* She's nuts. Makes me feel less ruggit about some things. ROFL.

Not sure what I'm going to start on next. I want a Kindle Fire.

I just bet they are. Mine are almost bleeding thinking about it.

It's been a while since I've read anything. Guess the last book I read was The Art of Bead Embroidery by Sherri Serafina and Heidi.....forgot her last name. LOL! I spend most of my time beading, working the paycheck job or sleeping, getting ready to work the paycheck job.

I do love Stephen King, John Grisham, and Clive Cussler. He's good if you like action/spy/shoot em' stuff/mystery stuff. Oooh yeah, Tom Clancy, too. I've been wanting to see if the library has that Keith Richards book yet. I love the Stones, too.

I'm with you here...also love Koontz and anything Jerry Ahern, he did the Survivalist series in the late 70's early 80's if I remember correctly...I pretty much love anything Zombie, apocalyptic, survivalist, and some good mystery related.....and anything to do with homesteading and old fashioned ways of doing things and the like......

i just finished reading jean auels latest (?) book “THE LAND OF PAINTED CAVES”. I have read all of her series that started with “CLAN OF THE CAVE BEARS”. i have to say i was really disappointed with this last one. it was 2/3 ‘filler’ and 1/3 somewhat interesting.

she still has some unusual ways of making archeology, botony and history very interesting…but it can become strange at times as she starts sounding more like academia, and less like a story teller, which she does very well in her first books, and parts of this one.

her books are written as though several different people wrote them. she tends to segment the idea of what she is trying to get across, so it doesnt have as smooth a reading as it could.

over all, i believe she wasnt really ready to write this book as she was with her first few. the writer actually comes across as ‘trying to beat a deadline’, and shows her heart wasnt really into it.
