I was really hoing for a whole new batch of cousins, ya'll. Can't we go back a few thousand years and find a common g,g,g,g,g,g,g,g,g,g,g,g,g,g,g,Grandma? But,
I was teasing Ace when I said we might be distant cousins somewhere on the tree of evolution. It goes back to SHS asking me something that I could not even attempt to answer, and saying that I seem to know a lot. I hate to misinform people, so if I am not sure or I don't know I refer the questioner to someone I know does know the answer-I didn't even know the Saponi were siouan, and couldn't at the time remember if I had ever learned of other siouan groups in the southeast.
And Ace, BTW, it took an act of congress to have my tribe federally reconized-way back in 1993. Doesn't bode well for the tribes here in VA that are trying for federal recognition-especially with our esteemed Mr. Gilmore in office.

Cool

We're all here for the same reason, Rie. Good discussion, learning new lessons and teaching old ones.

It's all good. Thanks for sharing. http://www.powwows.com/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif
