Some Standing Rock members support North Dakota nickname

Fort Yates, North Dakota (AP)

Some Standing Rock Sioux tribal members still are trying to get their voices heard in support of the University of North Dakota’s Fighting Sioux nickname.

Archie Fool Bear, one of the nickname supporters, said the tribal council did not discuss a resolution from his group at its meeting Sept. 2, but he will try again to bring it up.
