I have confirmed her as my ancestor. I do have many matching segments with people of Native decent in the South West united states.

I would like to compare DNA with anyone that is also an ancestor of Zipha. OR that has native DNA over all and they would like to compare.

I am not a member of the Ramapo tribe. But I am an honorary member of the Muscogee tribe.

I am also a descendant of Zilpha B Horner. She is my 5th great grandmother through her daughter Eunice Horner Phillips. my line from Zilpha to me is as follows

I have been trying to find information on Zilpha for at least 20 some years . I ran my DNA test to yours and it says we are not a match. But I am very interested in more information about Zilpha . I have 90 dna matches to Zilpha through ancestry.com . I have traced this family line back so I have a paper trail also with a few census ect .
But Zilpha is still a mystery to me .
My Dna tests are through Family Tree Dna which is T708157 and Ancestry which is A259666.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

So what kind of Indian was Eunice Horner? Or Lorena Mae or Raymond Franklin Hoy? What tribes did they belong to?

I'm wondering how two people claiming the same lineage don't have the same DNA.

These ancestry tests are autosomal DNA (atDNA) tests. They look at single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) on the chromosomes not involved in biological gender expression. Some of groups of these SNP's tend to be inherited together. Some of these groups (ancestry informative markers, AIM's) have different frequencies for different geographic populations, which can be used with varying degrees of accuracy to determine the ethnic ancestry of a person.

High school biology has conditioned us to have a Mendel's peas view of genetics -- mom is a yellow pea with a recessive gene for green, dad is also a yellow pea with a recessive gene for green, and they have three yellow kids and one green kid. But during meiosis crossover between maternal and paternal copies of the same gene can occur, leading to the unpaired strand in the resulting sex cell not being an exact match to either parent's chromosome.

We get roughly half of each of our parent's AIM's, but not exactly. With each generation and increasing intermingling of individuals with different AIM's, the effect of this uneven partitioning becomes more pronounced. Thus, we get the folks who visit here and claim they are 7% Native or distant cousins with a common Native ancestor that don't share the same number of AIM's.
