  • My grandfather I never met

I never had a chance to meet my grandfather, Ira Redhorn. He died when my dad was 8 years old, they were on a fishing trip on July 4th and the boat capsized. I think about him alot, often dream about him and always wondered what he was like. I also wonder would my life had gone a different direction if he were still alive today.
I have only seen pictures and some old video of him (well the old time films). All I know is I look like him and that he was a wonderful person. If I had the chance to meet one person I would pick him. I occasionally go to the Beverly National Cematary (a military cemetary in NJ)and talk to him and my grandmother who died back in 2000. Just wish I had the chance to know him...
