Well intentioned condolences from WhoMe and family.

We have known him and his brother, "Jeep" Wahnee, for a long time.

Billy will also be missed at the annual Gallup Intertribal Indian Ceremonial. He was an "icon" there because of his longstanding participation.

This is so unfortunate....We had very good dealings with this man and he will be missed by our drum.......he initiated us, Rocky Park, into the circle at Red Mt. Eagle powwow in 1991....since then we had always called him Grandpa and he would call us his sons and grandsons......He used to tell us to follow what was right, follow our teachings and listen to our elders.......He will be greatly missed by our family, our drum and his family as well..........

My family and I were saddened by the passing of Billy Wahnee. I will always remember him as a God fearing, christian man, that was allowed to dance again after an almost life ending stroke. He was always glad to be in the arena and danced/sang his heart out. May the Lord take him and embrace him in His heavenly kingdom.
