  • Amber Star Crossguns

My beautiful niece Amber Star Crossguns passed away on August 8, 2005, after suffering from a mysterious virus. Amber was an energetic beautiful young lady, with quite a promising future. She was quite the athlete, intelligent and fun to be with, always teasing people around her, and bursting into her cute laugh. Amber was only 17 years of age, and would have graduated in June 2006.

She loved many different animals, no matter what they looked like. She was also an awesome artist, she drew a very beautiful picture of the Lady of Guadalupe. In her short life she managed to accomplish plenty. She will be missed by relatives and people that knew her, especially by her parents Lavina and Clyde. My heart goes out to them. So I hope that some how they may be comforted with your e-mails.

We lost a beautiful person, she suffered silently, she never complained or showed fear throughout her illness.

    Thanks for caring

    Fran Wolfleg (Aunt) - Siksika

My condolences. It's hard to lose someone so young when all you ever wanted is to see them grow.
Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear... just sing, sing a song.sigpic

She liked the feel of the wind flowing around her. The sound of singing barely audible over the sounds her pony made moving over the trail. She was proud of her ride, and had made sure to decorate the pony stylishly with ribbons and tinkling things. It was a gloriously...

I recently attended a Pow Wow in Louisville, KY,
      as I watched the dancers
the following poem began to form in my mind.
I was inspired by three women dancers.

      Hey Everyone,

I need your help to possibly find a friend. I know that word gets around in Indian country and someone on this site can help me. She keeps coming on my mind and I would like to get in touch with her. I know she is out there on the pow-wow trail. She lived in North Carolina
