He was an awesome person! Got to meet him down in Ga and spent time with him. He was awesome to listen to and watch in action when it came to Native American Issues! He could sway a whole room to his favor!
He helped a lot of us in Ga with the Dacula site and stayed a while to walk on the Capital and guide us through other issues
He will be greatly missed by our family-The Arneach's
Our issues never had such a supporter and mover like him
Our condolences to you and yours robby!
At least the rest of us got to enjoy him while we could.
He truly was an amazing personWell will wonders never cease.....

I didn't see this until just now.
Mike's mom and my grandpa were first cousins. Mike made his life's work fighting injustices done to the American Indian. His most recent fight was against the use of Mascots in sports. He led protests in Atlanta and Washington D.C.
He used the media as his aide in bringing underrepresented issues about American Indians to the public. He used the United Nations in NYC as a forum to make these issues and injustices known to the world!
Tahansi,
"I hope to carry on your life's work of making injustices to our people known, so that they can be acknowledged."Powwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.
