              PinkL,

I am sorry to hear about Cougar. I attended his service on Friday and was happy to see so many of his people in attendance.

One thing that was mentioned was his mentoring of youth to the drum. He was just getting another generation of young singers started at the time of his untimely death. Their new drum groups name is 'White Eagle Park." I will be interested to see if these young people continue Cougar's legacy of singing?
Powwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to let you know that my adopted dad, Orval Kirk, has lost his battle with cancer. I received a phone call this morning and was told that he passed from this life at about 4:00AM. My husband and I were with the family until midnight last night, at the hospital.
