  • Luis Bonet crosses over

Luis Many Bears Bonet passed away at approximately 7 p.m. on March 7. He had sufered a massice heart attack on March 4. His family and friends were with him continuously throughout the four day hospital vigil.
Luis and his family lived a humble life. There home and their lodge was open to everyone who came with a good heart and good intentions. They fed and housed many people, and Luis spent a great deal of his time working with people. He did it in a good and traditional way. Although they had very little, they gave whatever they had to those in need.

The following letter from Bear Lopez includes details regarding a benefit event on March 11 for the family. Those who are unable to attend but wouuld like to help the family or send their condolences can contact me via email at [email protected], or [email protected] (I am having a lot of trouble with the hotmail account) or by mail at Corina Roberts, P.O. Box 702, Simi Valley, CA 93062

Many Bears has been a powerful sweat leader and teacher in Palmdale for many years. He and his loving family have provided food, shelter, love, warmth, & teaching of the Lakota way to many, many people throughout the years. He has shared so freely of all that he has. Many Bears never charged for his spiritual teachings and welcomed all. In exchange for his many freely given gifts, it is time for us to step up and help his family.

His dear loving wife, Tonia, and his children are in need of support. Many Bears was hospitalized after suffering several heart attacks and suffered severe brain damage. He finally lost his battle on Tuesday night March 7, 2006. He was the sole support of his family.

If you feel moved to share your abundance with the family of a great spiritual teacher….please, please do.
