Man, I just heard about this. I am so sorry to hear this. I have had some good times with Dennis in the past.
I just heard another one of our buddy's and former fancy dance champion, Don Murray was just shot and killed yesterday. Both Dennis and Don were Otoe-Missouria.
RIP.Powwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.

Rest in Peace Brother!
We took each other in as brothers a long time ago. I'll miss dancing with him! i'll miss singing with him! And the joking! We use to tease hard with each other, but thats how brothers do it! My heart and prayers go out to the family! I'm feeling the same as they do.

My condolences to the Alley family. I will always remember Dennis Jr. as being bigger than life. A big guy with a big heart always acknowledging the people around him. Dressed to the nines in his straight dance clothes. A proud young man. He was respectful and dignified in the dance arena. I enjoyed watching him dance, setting up a drum and more importantly, taking care of his dad. He sure loved his dad. I've known this family for many years and will miss him. Thank you whoever posted his picture as that's the way I will remember him.
R.I.P. Dennis
