Ron Morning Owl, one of the Founding members of the Starr Society singers passed away over last week. he was 43 yrs old. he died of complications of Pneumonia.
Starr society based out of Browning Mt., is Led by Stan Whiteman. Ron has lived over the years in oregon and washington. his last time singing with star society was at the Eastern Washington University Powwow.

Wow this comes as a shock. I took pics of Ron and various people with Ron's horse at Rock Creek Powwow last April. His son Neil has been sitting in with High Rock on our travels to Warm Springs and Portland over the last couple years.

Our prayers go up for all of the family.
