I don't know if they are or not.. it's hard to get ahold of them because of the phone situation out there... but I do know that the benefit has been pushed back a second time... this time because of a death on the reservation of a young man and they are allowing for ten day feast so it probably won't be till this coming weekend. -

Benefit for Family House Fire
Hey folks, I'm not Rose, she's my cousin and this is our Aunt and our Cousin Jacob that this happened to. With the exception of what you read below, they lost everything. And I do mean everything. Jacob is a great student and a very loveable young guy and my aunt is disabled. They live on the rez and the house was one my grandmother grew up in. If you're in the area, please attend. I'm going to be sending alot of my beadwork (most all of it) that I have done for the raffle. My next step is to make copies of my photographs and such for them because they lost alot of stuff that just can never be replaced if you know what I mean.

On April 1, 2007, my Aunt Gini Jacobs and her family lost everything in a house fire. The only things my 12-year-old cousin saved were his lacrosse stick, helmet and pads. Luckily my older cousin and her 1 1/2 year old daughter had moved recently so most of their stuff was not there. My Aunt suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns on the bottom of her right foot. We are giving her time to heal so on May 5th we are holding the benefit in their honor. If you would like to donate anything to the family or for the benefit(we're still looking for theme baskets) please contact me asap.
