Congratulations! That's quite an accomplishment. It takes not only talent, but courage and perseverance.

For those who don't write -
First you have to write something.
Then you have to write something good.
Then you have to work on it to make it better.
Then you need to gather courage to submit it.
[I don't know any writer that got published on their first submission of work.]
So... that means you have to gather MORE courage to submit after not hearing back or getting a rejection slip.
And you have to keep writing and improving while all this is going on. And you have to submit some more.
No matter how much you submit, you may never get published. No matter how good the work, if it doesn't fit with the rest of the material, it doesn't get published.
There are many people with talent that don't write.
There are many people with talent that write and don't submit.
There are many people with talent that have written great pieces that have been rejected.
And then there are those who have been published.

It is a testament not only to the recognized value of the published piece, but also to your inner courage, hard work and keen insight. So congrats not only for the piece, but to all that lead up to it too!

GIRL!!! I'm soooo proud of you!! You do NOT need to chill! You stand up and take that bow over and over again. I remember when I was first published. I kept that article in my car, in my living room, at school, at work, in my purse! I framed a copy...all four pages of it! YOU need to be your biggest fan, and let the rest of US line up to give you hugs and slaps on the back. You are great, you are amazing, and you need to own it, Lady, cause this is only the beginning!

                          Congratulations.....
