    Sun and Power

    You took our land left us with no place to go
    Shuffled us from place to place and let us die on the road

    You wonder why I act as I do look at how you done my people
    And all the suffering they have been through
    Putting us on reseravations like horses in a stepple

    Even still you want to take more passing laws to take another tract of land for what you have got what you wanted
    We are forgotten and poor

    This is the thought that you really do beleive let me tell you my people are alive and well the great spirit with us we are fine indeed
    Our ancestors live on and their stories we tell

    Our people is great we will rise again chants of native pride from all colors of skin the natives are coming to take what is rightfully ours we are coming for the sun and to regain our power

    May the Great Spirit Bless you

    Take Care

    There is no death, only a change of worlds.
    Duwamish

    When you are in doubt, be still, and wait;
    when doubt no longer exists for you, then go forward with courage.
    So long as mists envelop you, be still;
    be still until the sunlight pours through and dispels the mists
    -- as it surely will.
    Then act with courage.
    Ponca Chief White Eagle (1800's to 1914)

    Humankind has not woven the web of life.
    We are but one thread within it.
    Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
    All things are bound together.
    All things connect.

    Chief Seattle, 1854
