    One Together

    You have taken all from our life
    Our ways we lived been traded for strife
    Our kids now lost upon the road
    No traces to our roots and now no way to go

    Still we carry own as we have before
    Dancing and rituals for souls that are poor
    We see the Sun rise in the sky
    We look to the Creator and keep our eyes on the prize

    We gather our thoughts for a journey today
    Walking with the ancestors leading the way
    The time has arrived and few steps left to go
    But these are the hardest for before was a show

    Now is truth come to be revealed
    Many will fall and shall become ill
    But this is how all must end
    We were told from the beginning we must all be friends

    Many have forgotten the way
    But our brothers and sisters today is the day
    Our relatives flying high in the sky
    Earth Mother turns as the last hints of light go by

    Today is great shout for joy
    Purification is here as was is before
    The greed of the world can no longer endure
    The roads once traveled are now just a blurr

    There is no death, only a change of worlds.
    Duwamish

    When you are in doubt, be still, and wait;
    when doubt no longer exists for you, then go forward with courage.
    So long as mists envelop you, be still;
    be still until the sunlight pours through and dispels the mists
    -- as it surely will.
    Then act with courage.
    Ponca Chief White Eagle (1800's to 1914)

    Humankind has not woven the web of life.
    We are but one thread within it.
    Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
    All things are bound together.
    All things connect.

    Chief Seattle, 1854
