Pain of the past.

I spin in circles all day long.
Yet still I hear that song.
With drums beating in the air.
Fire's light flickering as I stare.
The pain of darkness draws me near.
With no escape to quail my fear.
Sacred chanting fill the space.
Save me from the inhuman race.
And now I watch you from above.
Living in death a life without love.
It wasn't just my body you stole.
And now it is you who must pay the toll.
In this tormented darkness I find my worth.
From the womb of the earth
I find rebirth.
You alone must atone for your sins.
In a world of pain no one wins.
As sacred sunlight fills the air.
I find my freedom no more despair.
In that wretched darkness you dwell still.
But no longer can you break my will.
Yes you tore my world apart.
But you will never take my heart.

This is dedicated to a person in my past who tried to mentally end my life before it began.
