I'm trying to find out what products to use to grow my fiances hair. At one point he had very very long hair but it started thinning a few years ago due to medication side effects and he was ashamed so he cut it and donated it to Locks of love. Now we're trying to grow it out again and dont know where to start!

He's Puertorican and has always had long hair...I'm Choctaw and Caddo and our hair types are different so I don't know what to use on his!!! How do I get started growing his hair out?

Anyway, I started taking these vitamins by Country Life called "Maxi-Hair". I used to buy the store brand hair,skin and nails vitamin to strengthen my nails and one day they were out so I tried these ones. My nails are still as bendy as ever (I think that's just the way I was born) but I noticed better hair growth. You can get them online for about 7-8 dollars a bottle.

Soft nails, hate to say this, you are not eatting enough beef!! With the protein in beef you will have harder nails. Thank mother nature for that one.!!!
For the hair, I would also say one product that works great, Bear Grease.

My nails have been like that since as far as I can remember. I've tried every suggestion that my friends have thrown out there including the protein. My nails stay the same lol. The good thing about it is that my nails don't break as much.

Yet mine are hard enough to use as screwdrivers! I was told they were weapons! So I trim them shorter but still hard as nails!

thank you for the tips and for the complements it made him blush....what else can he use im gonna get the vitamins. My hair grows out quick but my granny wants to see him with hair so lol nuff said shes 97 well do what makes her happy.

Since hair and nails both contain keritine, try using Knox gelatin; that works well. Also google about hair growth and hair strengthening. There are a number of herbs and vitamins that also help hair grow. Good luck.

Hair growth

I know it sounds weird but we use stump water... yes that's right! Water that has collected in a stump from a rain. We wash our hair with it to get it to grow.

Prenatal Vitamins are goot too. Especially if he's still on the meds.

NO they dont have any womanly hormones or anything in dere...lol. or so my doc says anyways. She was the one that said I should try them.

I've heard of prenatal vitamins but I always stayed away from them because I thought they had hormones in them. Good to hear that they don't.

Get a shampoo with Biotin & Silica in it. also supplements with Biotin-Silica it's one of the best things out there for thinning hair & nails.
