  • 4 weeks to a new you, or I'm going to a wedding in 28 days and am tired of being fat

Yikes!! I just realized we're flying out to my brother-in-law's wedding in just less than a month. I started being serious about my diet and exercise this summer, but since school started I've been slacking.

Working 60 hour weeks and mostly eating right have kept my weight from ballooning after falling off the wagon, but still - I have some clothes that I want to wear and they're just not fitting.

So starting today, I'm in boot camp:
    Eating right at every meal.
Taking 30 minutes of of my 24 hour day to exercise.
    Drinking more water.
    Remembering my vitamins.
(and fixing my hair, too, which has gone by the wayside as well )
I should add going to bed at a reasonable hour, because there are studies that show that your body holds onto fat when you're lacking sleep.

Anybody else want to join a 28 day recovery program, I mean BOOT CAMP??
    ...it is what it is...

We can do it, girlz!! I pledge to eat my veggies tonight and get off the couch and walk!! Maybe even pick up the dumbbells that my honey fixed for me.

And get to bed by 10:30. Maybe even 10!!!!

          I'm in!

My husband and I started walking this morning. So I'm hoping to have a bathingsuit body by next summer!!!

3 weeks ago we cut out sugar and high fat... Actually started reading the labels on the stuff we buy. He is doing really good. Looks slimmer already, but me.... ...that is why we started walking...

          Men suck sometimes!!!

Count me in....my goal is ten pounds by november 20th (the first game of my daughter's basketball season)
been eating kinda lazily here this summer and only worked out here andt here. walked alot, almost daily but now i am back at work and have access to the gym.
70% of your results are what you eat, how much and when. . . and of course to get moving.
Lotsa water, to cleanse your system of all the stuff you put into it....it can be done.
geez...now i gotta do it since i said it was a good thing to do. lol

Day 2 walking. So far so good.

I already gave up the fat laced breakfast burritos years ago. And don't eat bread and don't drink pop.... So exercise is what I need.. At least now he is fired up to go with me and not just me trying to find time somewhere in the day.

But yesterday several of his coworkers noticed he lost weight and commented on it.... Oh well.... he didn't squeeze out 4 babies with a 5' almost 1'' frame...

Actually I will just be happy to get to a less round shape ....

LOL the babies thing is true....ha ha....I had 4, and all of them took a toll on my body....I just lost weight by walking...eventually i started lifting and adding other machines but in reality, walking does wonders for you..it doesnt feel like its that much, but it really is...and its something that anybody can do without a trainer, or machinery or special workout stuff. Just walk and it will start coming off.

Day 2: drank 4 cups of water already, took my first round of vitamins and ate shrimp and veggies for breakfast.

Got a volleyball game this evening, so exercise shouldn't be a big deal, but then we're going out to eat Mexican. I'm going to have to say NO to the chips, rice and beans. ugh!!

Well, I did good that night eating at the Mexican restaurant - fajita salad.

But yesterday I was TERRIBLE. Breakfast was an M&M cookie freshly made by one of the bosses. Who was I to say no to that?? But I went downhill from there. Reeses, German chocolate cake, sesame noodles, ice cream, Gardetto's...sheesh.

I'm back on track today...feel like crapola, but shoudl be better tomorrow.
