    Navajo soldier to be presented with Purple Heart

    U.S. Army Specialist Terrill Dawes, a member of the Navajo Nation, will receive the Purple Heart for his actions in the Iraqi war.

    Dawes was severely injured in a September 8 car bomb attack. He has served in Afghanistan as well as Iraq.

    The Purple Heart will be presented to him on November 9 at the Navajo Nation Veterans Memorial Park in Window Rock, Arizona.
