New Ron Howard film to depict conquest of Aztecs

Famed director Ron Howard has signed a deal to direct "The Serpent and the Eagle," a film depicting the European conquest of the Aztec people in Mexico.

Paramount Pictures will produce the film. It focuses on how explorer Hernando Cortez and his Aztec mistress worked to conquer the Aztecs during the 1500s.

I wonder if this film is going to make the Conquistadors lok like heroes??? I 'll be mad,

Of course it will, don't they all? Probably in one way or another it would portray the Aztec people as being an ignorant people or a helpless people. They always have some way to make our people seem less educated in the world then the rest.

In the past, Jammer, i know that is what we have seen, but being a relatively new director, I am not sure that Ron Howard will risk telling this story inaccurately. Let's just hope not anyway.
