Because China is already threatening to nuke the U.S. and Bush is using the media to ready the American ppl to go to war with them. And, I think America will lose and China will be world power. And, if China is world power, then I'd rather have them as an ally, rather than an enemy, kwim?
Also, China is three times wealthier than America and if we had them as allies, we could create trade agreements, etc that would empower our nations and help us regain our rights.

Do you honestly think that if China were to take over, that they would still see us as indigenous soveriegn nations? Our people join all branches of the military to fight for this country in time of war,because it still belongs to us as well. The way you have just worded this sounds like a rat abandoning a ship. Listen carefully.... China is still a communist country. Communism... Commie.... and COMMUNISTS, they tell you what rights you got...not help you regain them.

Ok seriously...China is projected to have a larger GDP in some ten years...they are no where close to touching the economic power of the US...not to mention that most of China's economic infrastructure is a result of US development and investment meaning even if China has a greater GDP than the US, the US will still have significant influence over it...US business people are not dumb.

China has not threatened to bomb the US...in fact China has been trying to get on the good side of the US (participation in N. Korea nuclear talks, etc) as it realizes the importance of US to its own economic growth.

Finally, if you have ever examined recent Chinese human rights and the manner in which agreements are approached, you will note that any alliance with them will last only as long as you provide benefit to their interest...no offense to everyone, but I doubt specific reservations can make a case for contributing the strategic wealth/military power of China.

I found another one that says it is the transcript of the Chinese General's entire speech. Just wondering if this is also a hoax or at worse, another way for Bush to use this type of propaganda as a means to go to war with China...

Only by using special means to “clean up” America will we be able to lead the Chinese people there.

There has been rapid development of modern biological technology, and new bio weapons have been invented one after another. Of course we have not been idle; in the past years we have seized the opportunity to master weapons of this kind. We are capable of achieving our purpose of “cleaning up” America all of a sudden.

From a humanitarian perspective, we should issue a warning to the American people and persuade them to leave America and leave the land they have lived in to the Chinese people. Or at least they should leave half of the United States to be China’s colony, because America was first discovered by the Chinese. But would this work? If this strategy does not work, then there is only one choice left to us. That is, use decisive means to “clean up” America, and reserve America for our use in a moment. Our historical experience has proven that as long as we make it happen, nobody in the world can do anything about us. Furthermore, if the United States as the leader is gone, then other enemies have to surrender to us.

This is weird.

It's not a hoax and not a concern. You've got one general who made one comment about China not having a strong enough conventional military to stand up to the U.S. in a conventional land war. What's most important here is that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has been heard from this general since. He's been quite properly silenced by his superiors who know that anything and everything said by someone that high up in their military will be noticed. "Stop doing that, they're watching". China has no interest in a war with the U.S. China is no threat, there is no war coming, if you're interested in having China as an ally, then surrender your AMERICAN citizenship and hike your happy *** over there and live as a slave all ya want. Apparently, they are. Seems they would rather be grateful for their commodity cheese, rather than use the technology and power to get our land back and our rights.

I don't see how creating allies with other countries could harm us.
We would get world wide recognition and it would be less likely for Bush or anyone else to test their biowarfare agents on reservations, reserves, or settlements.
Honestly, right now, who would stop them from wiping us out?

Perspective

A couple of things:

1) to a comment made earlier...the casino, while they do produce a large source of revenue...is not large enough on a macroeconomic scale to have any large impact to prompt large foreign governments to upset the US and make international trade treaties with American Indian tribes...Not too mention, most of the revenue generated by the casinos come from the local "non-indian" populations...of which would most likely cease going to such casinos if they were financing an unfriendly foreign government.

2) One general making a comment does not mean the US and China are going to War...If some Col. in the US Army makes a comment about China it does not act as a declaration of war by the US. Again, China relies too heavily on the US for economic growth for them to want and attack us.

3) Yes we would loose a ground war with China...we would lose a conventional war with a lot of countries which is why the US continues to move away from traditional means of warfare.

4)If a war happened to break out with China...the US could just as easily nullify any agreement a reservation had with them. Worcester v. Georgia basically affirmed that the US Congress has penary power pertaining to American Indian sovereignty

5)Why would a reservation try and strike a deal with a country that is so absolutely terrible in human rights? Anyone with a knowledge of history would acknowledge the US has made a good number of mistakes pertaining to treatment of indigenous people, but modern US society is a far cry from current China. The US-Taiwan-China relationship was mentioned. Of anything I would think that most indian nations would symathize with Taiwan since it made up of oppressed Chinese who wish to have a more fair means of government.

Because Marty, it falls into the category of popularist anti-American BS that has become so very acceptable. Believing that for some reason the one Nation that has stood for freedom against some truely horrific history and is our only hope for any kind of global peace is actually the enemy of the world. It stems from the early hippy and beatnik movements who began to believe in some kind of social evolution resulting in a superior mentality that believes nothing in this world is worth fighting for. Especially freedom for the oppressed. It's now become popular to believe in that European mind set which is suggesting that there's a more evolved morality that says people who fight for freedom are wrong and we should try to 'understand' our enemies who would end EVERY ONE OF OUR LIVES. That is an important note for the girl who wants to be China's ally. They're going to use chemical, nuclear and biological weapons on YOUR CHILDREN too, not just us evil white people. They don't care that you're not one of us because you're NOT one of them either. You're an American and they'll kill you too. Your casino money is ABSOLUTELY CONTRARY to the Chineese communist way of living. That you don't understand such a thing leads me to believe that you haven't gotten as far in High School as a world civ class yet. Maybe tha's next semester. In any event, sitting around singing Koom Bye Ya with the French surrenderists ain't gonna save your life. Neither is kissing some Chinese butt or making yourself feel socially superior by joining the Europeans in constantly bashing America. What's going to save your life and give you the right to sit around and hate the country you're living in is going to be a division of U.S. Marines.
