Because China is already threatening to nuke the U.S. and Bush is using the media to ready the American ppl to go to war with them. And, I think America will lose and China will be world power. And, if China is world power, then I'd rather have them as an ally, rather than an enemy, kwim?
Also, China is three times wealthier than America and if we had them as allies, we could create trade agreements, etc that would empower our nations and help us regain our rights.

Do you honestly think that if China were to take over, that they would still see us as indigenous soveriegn nations? Our people join all branches of the military to fight for this country in time of war,because it still belongs to us as well. The way you have just worded this sounds like a rat abandoning a ship. Listen carefully.... China is still a communist country. Communism... Commie.... and COMMUNISTS, they tell you what rights you got...not help you regain them.

I don't know if even the 'News of the World' or other tabloids, who make a living coming up with bizarre scenarios, could improve on this! Just asking.. but why do you think being an idigenous nation in the US or Canada be so important to have China as an ally? I'm just curious.

Yes, I have studied chinese history. America isn't so great either and yet they jump at every chance to 'help' other nations in need.
Just because China doesn't want THEIR indigenous ppl, doesn't mean they should be discounted as a possible ally to indigenous ppl here.

The iroquois send representatives to the UN every year I believe. I was just reading about some of it the other night but I'm too tired to remember details. I know Mad Bear went to Cuba to ask Fidel Castro to sponsor the Tuscarora to sit in .. and Castro did, however Mad Bear was not acting as a true representative of the Tuscarora (he just always went out ambassadoring like he was or something). Back in the 70's is when this happened and there were more than just iroquois representatives there.. there were lakota and navajo... it was huge, but I don't know how many still send people, or how much of a voice they have.

Unless the US grants some type of representation...I am 99% sure that there is not tribal presence on the United Nations...I am also willing to bet that such representation is not permitted by the US or at least would have to be ratified by Congress. The soveriegn nation provision still makes the Indian nations subject to Federal Law, oversight, etc.
