FYI - I received the following message in my email today...
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, in association with the Kentucky Heritage Council and Kentucky’s Native American Heritage Commission will be coming out with a beautiful new Native American license plate (we hope in the early part of 2009.)
In order to make the plate a reality, we need 900 applications (statewide) with the initial fee for the plate. Then the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will produce the plate. I’m looking for ways to promote the plate. The sooner the Cabinet gets the 900 applications, the sooner the plate will become a reality.
I have attached an image of the plate. It is designed by Jannette Parent, who is of Cherokee heritage. She is from Princeton, in Western Kentucky.
Thanks for your consideration.
