Today I ask for help for Flying_Raven, she is stranded with her mother in Roanoake NC, they have moved away from their home in Rocky Mount and the car broke down, they are now close to broke and have no cash left to get to Elkhart Indiana to her mothers sister. I have tried to get the bank here in Canada to forward cash to them but the system here will hold the cash for 6 working days before releasing it to them. That would be way toooooooooo late. Mother and daughter do not want to return to the place they were at, they need to get going. The reason for the car breaking down was already bad from the get go. The mechanic said he replaced the fuel pump and they were billed and on the road it gave up again, they ended up here in Roanoake and there the mechanic stated that they did not fix or replace the defective fuel pump and they are out of the cash that they paid to get it fixed. As well they have been stranded for many days there. To top things off a man fell in the pool at the hotel where they are staying and Flying_Raven jumped in and saved the drowning mans life.
So to one and all I call upon your compassion and ask if you can send them on their way to Elkhart. Thank you to one and all that read this.

we Left Rocky Mount(Sharpsburg) last Monday night, Tuesday the car had broke down again on the side of I95-North towards Richmond; 5-7 miles from Roanoke rapids/Weldon NC
we though perhaps the filter was clogged and the mechanic who got us off the highway changed it, about another mile down it stopped, so we called him back and he towed us here to the interstates inn in Weldon and took the car to the shop, once under the hood he came to find out the previous "mechanics" who supposedly replaced everything under there did not and in fact swindled use out of $250 by taking the new part back and keeping the money.

my mother is disabled and we were moving up there so i can hopefully find a job and so mum could be with her best friend of 30 years to help her.

on Saturday a man fell into the pool, striking his head on the edge on the way down. i happened to be walking my dog when i heard all the commotion, i asked what was wrong, and some asked if i could swim i said yes I'll get him out, they offered to hold my dog.

i stripped out of my pants and jumped into the pool i couldn't get all the way down in the first breath of air, i came up moved the intertube and went back down, grabbed his arm and pulled him to the surface of the water, and asked that the other help get him out before i dropped him.

we got him out, and got the water out of his lungs, paramedic had been called, and i called again to make darn sure. the mans son nearly drove his truck on accident into the pool area . the medic arrived and he was taken to the hospital. he was released later and was find aside form a nice bump in the head.

for that they have let us stay here 2 days for free, but we won't be anymore

I'm asking for any help possible to get us up to Indiana anything, even food would be nice, we haven't had a really good meal in awhile since we started packing to leave.

okay an to explain more about what happened to the other things with the car.

about a week to 4 days before were were packed and ready to go to Indiana, mum fuel pump had given out, mind you the car had sat for awhile due to lack of money to pay for insurance ect...

so these people offered to help my mum get her car fixed for what (she thought at least) was less then the other mechanics around, that is to say we pay them $200 to fix the car.

well after we get it back, i take it to get it inspected it stalls out and died again, come to fins out it is the wrong type of fuel pump(supposedly)
they get the recipe to take it back to auto zone and "get a new one" but instead of actually getting a new one they took the part back, got the money back and kept it,putting the old parts back on, no changing the filter or anything.

so we get down the road the day we moved out, and it began to stall out, at first we thought that the filter maybe clogged and limped into a gas station to get them replaced, where we met the current mechanic. he replaced the one filter we try to get down the road, and it breaks down again. so the highway patrol call him back up and they get us to this motel (interstate inn motel) and then took the car to the garage, where its been, he had to replace the entire fuel system, and some of the other parts that had gotten broken and banged up when the other mechanic and he can't seem to get it fixed.

no we are stuck here low on money for gas and food, i have 2 dogs and 2 cats and we just want to get to Indiana to Tammy's house

i don't entirely care how at the moment so long as i don't have to leave my stuff (it in my car, and mums) and my pets. look if there is anyway anyone can help it is appreciated very much.

Well im flat broke until next thursday, I could maybe pick you, mom pets and stuff up but i dunno how you would get car to elkhart. If you want me to tho i could but not til saturday, which i knwo is prolly too far off :(

Im in south western Ohio but you know i will do all i can to help. Flying raven ill PM you my cell and also a calling card number that you can use to phone me ok? You can use calling card to call others if needed also.
But get ahold of me and we can try and put our heads together. Mine is a bit empty but maybe something is rattling around in there. If i can get my mom to give me back my charge card that would help, but i dunno.

I want to personaly add that there are road kill products that I would barter for for help for them as well! Please they need to get where they are going. I tired to get them money down there where they are stranded, our banks up here hold the cash for 6 working days when it goes across the border.

So if you are looking for something for your regalia as far as a roadkill item goes I have a lot of stuff to offer. Free to you from me as a thankyou if you help them both, I'll even toss in the shipping.

We are still here at the motel, I won't have much for food, and we are waiting to see if the mechanic can get it fixed, we'll hear again in the morning and will have to decoded whether to sell it for parts and rent another or have it towed up there.

If I had anything I could offer I would. We sold almost everything we had left to make this move, furniture, clothes, kitchen wear, everything we had i don't have a home left here to return to in NC.

I have to admit i have never been this afraid in nearly all my life. I just want to get up there safely.

hello yall , tuff spot in the road im thinking, how about selling the car and getting bus tickets i dont know about the dogs and cats tho but that would get you there sooner , maybe cat and dogs carriers also look on cragis list for a ride shear ,i hope some of this helps

Annie I agree, see if you can find a lawyer as well for the theft! It is after all a scandal that needs to be taken care of and both of them are in no condition to do this right now, sue the garage!!!!! Flying_Raven, keep all the bills for everything , this guy needs to pay up front for everything!!! Even loss of time should be on the bill. Annie can you do this for all of us????? I have faith in you. Thanks Annie, we need help desparately this morning, I only wish that I was closer, I would be there by now!!!

2lineCarrandMorgan that is not the only problem, it was 2 cars,they were each driving one with the last of their possessions to get to mothers sister in the hope of living there. They have no place left to live!!! They lost most of their stuff in a twister a while back as well. We need to help turn things around! A new start. I want so much to help them with money and will say that the banking system is bad between our countries!
