  • Ft. Ancient not only ohio mound at risk

I spoke to soon the other day mentioning how lucky Serpant mound was and that it would not be at risk like Ft. Ancient.
    I was wrong.

    Progress Ohio

Fort Ancient will be bought and owned by a local childrens camp by fall.
Not sure what the serpants future holds but it doesnt look good.

Now mind you the land is not being sold off to Wal-mart or anything for Construction. BUt groundskeepers and activists that preserve it will be out of work, and it will be left open towhat have you.

Think its a real shame they were classified as state historical marks and not national. If national maybe they would budget would not be cut, but in todays financial world, *shakes head in dismay*

Mebe if moundbuilders had stayed around and got enrolled when whitey came, it would be protected, but they hight tailled it outta here before the genocidal rankings even thought of setting foot on the land.
