I got your message Joe's Dad! I will shut up and just be a good reader about this kinds of stuff!
It was not my intention to upset anybody, just wanted to be informed!

          Seriously?

You have GOT to be kidding.

Let me summarize: you don't HAVE an answer.

Back in the day Custer's Scouts would be sent back to the village to attempt to explain why the Warriors who take a stand against the corruption of the US government are a detriment to our people's progress. Some things never change.

Ah yes. Rhetorical garbage, based in weak metaphor, supporting erroneous idol worship.

                Let's use the TRUE model.

Peltier is the scout. Because, in the 1970s and now, we're no longer fighting the US government. (Rightly or wrongly, that war is over.) We're fighting people like Peltier and his troglodyte minions. In sum, the "corruption" of THOSE idiots, who ARE a "detriment to our people's progress."

Yes, some things never change as the exploitation of Natives, from within, has occurred since before Columbus.

That's Peltier, AIM and -- apparently -- you (if you support it).

Again, I challenge you to find a single person, beyond themselves, whom AIM has managed to help.

I heard the first rumblings of "will Obama pardon Peltier," today...

                  Every four years like clockwork...
