  • The 8th Fire - CBC 4 Part Documentary Starts Tonight

The Canadian Broadcast Company has a 4 part series that begins tonight called The 8th Fire. There will be a live discussion on facebook during the airing.

    http://www.cbc.ca/doczone/8thfire/

    What is the 8TH Fire?

8TH Fire draws from an Anishinaabe prophecy that declares now is the time for Aboriginal peoples and the settler community to come together and build the '8TH Fire' of justice and harmony.

    From the site:

A 500 year old relationship ... coming out of conflict, colonialism and denial.
The 4-part 8TH Fire series premieres on CBC-TV today at 9 pm. Join us tonight on facebook with host Wab Kinew and reporter Connie Walker and on twitter at #8thfirecbc
If you can't watch the show, have a look through the website posted above, there are interactive question and answers with FN leaders, scholars, lawyers and politicians from Canada.

There is lots to see and learn.

For those to watch it tonight, there are plans to sell a DVD of the show in the Spring.

    Should be a good show.

I've been watching some of the clips and they are well thought out and address many of the stereotypes.

Not sure if US satellite will bring in a Canadian network ( I know I can get a couple of California/Washington/Oregon network/stations here). You might want to see if any Canadian relatives can record it for you or maybe send you down the DVD when it comes out.

Maybe see if you can stream at www.cbc.ca

Please read and tell me know if you detect in the message the genocide of the Anishinaabe population". So if we add the collusion between the government and the churches, it tends to come together. All as a great plan to always retain Natural Resources, gold, copper, water - that even through the Treaty process - traded for Peace, has now become an underlying plan of genocide against people to devastate and decimate life with that lie to benefit the powerful.

The horrible crimes of genocide and terror that continue are brought on between gov and church as a front for the corporations is a purposeful and systematic plan documented in Canada www.hiddennolonger.com and a pathetic, "I am sorry" that will not hold up in an International court of the people of the world.

Maybe I see the destruction of the people as their only last ditch effort or way to break the Treaty. It may be that the Treaty IS the only life that stands between the multi billion dollar mining companies wanting more gold and our last breath on this earth, on these Anishinaabe lands. Even thinking that the Anishinaabe have been fighting against such evil for so long and now we still sit as if unaffected by murder and genocide of a people, of children and families.

And as the churches have inadvertently become complicit (and using sick degenerative, evil ones to do their dirty work while officials look the other way toward greed.) This has become the most horrific crime ever in the world. Killing innocent people since 1492, keeping it legal in the courts and never facing a court to even slow up the genocide. Only now, we see it speeded up by the threat of mining and purposeful destruction of ground water. Destroying the water, capping off the most precious free flowing water on the planet into Lake Superior - - - can only be genocidal decisions of very sick people.

Maybe the fact that the mining is expected to already be a done deal getting through the courts. will surface as the corporation's greed and impatience and will tell the story before the last Native person is impacted or killed.

It is in the truth of their lies to steal gold, water and Natural Resources that the LIES will finally die. I know that the 13 original colonies were actually the 13 original corporations. Was this really their plan since 1776 or 1787 at the time of the Dec of Independence and the Constitution? It will end in 2012. Genocide will end. Destruction of a peoples homeland will end. Child rape will end, just as it has ended at Penn State. It has been said that these horrible acts will turn on the people who perpetuate them. That time has come. That time is now.

We never give up hope for the future. We have to make a better world and listen to our hearts.

The horrible crimes of genocide and the terror that continue as a purposeful plan documented in Canada and the US as a pathetic, "I am sorry" will not hold up in an International court of the people of the world. We must find that in the Treaties and we must not let them have their way with the rest of us as they have had their way with the innocent young. Nobody can say that is not a crime.

The Treaty represents the last man standing. Hopefully, we will look like the last scene in Thunderheart.
